This is the Loser (say: loaser) as we saw it from our farmhouse. It has a very characteristic peak. It is almost 6000 feet high. We decided to climb it.
We drove a toll road to this lake called Augst Lake.
Elisabeth stayed behind and Thomas and I went up to the peak. It is a 90 minute hike if you are fast.
It was very steep and narrow.

At one point they even had cables to hold on to.
About halfway up is the "Loser Window" - a fantastic rock formation that looks like a window. It is very windy up there and behind it is a super steep abyss.
Above the tree line are summer meadows for cows and sheep. They gathered on this rocky, sunny spot that was reasonably flat.

... and this was the view!
Then we went down to meet with Elisabeth again. We had a great time.
