Bad Aussee

This is at the farmhouse where we stayed in the mountains. They have a rabbit and guinea pig stall and Thomas loves to feed the critters.
We took a hike around the Alt Ausseeer Lake. It is very beautiful. Thomas threw rocks and showed us how far he can throw.

We found some wild strawberries....

... and some wild mountain orchids. Elisabeth had a botany book with her and we found out that these are called "Turkish turban lilies." They are very rare.

At a castle nearby Thomas did a kids program and made a wonderful drawing of the "Grimming" - a mountain nearby.

The cat at the farm had 4 babies and every morning we checked how they were.

This year Thomas loved to go on very LONG hikes. We started to call him our little mountain goat. You will see some of the peaks we stormed this year later.

After our hikes he always had some good Austrian food.

This is the "Grimming", the mountain Thomas painted a picture of earlier.

After that he got some great hot chocolate at the Blaa Alm.

I think it was really good.
